Spiced Rum Caramel Sauce
Caramel is somewhat difficult to make as you have to constantly mind the heat and texture. I throw the booze in at the end when it’s just perfect. So one day I was making a few batches of my “whisky” caramel and after melting the sugar perfectly smooth I grabbed a bottle of rum instead of the Makers Mark. Oops. Now we have Spiced Rum Caramel Sauce. I might keep making it too, it’s really good!
